You have fibroids! That’s the news that I received today. And you know what? But, GOD! He is still good. At first the enemy tried to take my mind to a different place. Oh no! How? What did you do to get those? What next? What does this mean? No no no enemy, you will not steal my joy. I am alive. I am healthy. I am still here.
Of course this is not the news that anyone want to hear just a few days into the New Year. Yet, my mind goes back to the NYE sermon. God didn’t promise you a perfect year without obstacles, challenges and struggles. However, he did promise you that he will see you through. Just like he did last year, the year before, the year before that and the year before. How many times did you not see a way out?
I say all this to say I am thankful. I am still smiling. Today is going to be a great day and this is going to be another amazing and blessed year.
How strong is your Faith? Even when things around you are not easy. Remember our life trials and tribulations are not in vain. There are lessons and growth if we are willing to pay attention. So instead of feeling down, woe is me and disappointed, I am believing GOD’s word and his promises. I am choosing Faith. I know that it’s all working together for my good.
You see the enemy comes in like a thief in the night. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. His mission is to get you so down and out that you lose sight of the truth. The truth of who you really are. The truth of who GOD says you are. The truth of your power, your magnificence and your beauty. When he gets you down, that’s when he can come in and wreck the most havoc.
The truth is that you are still standing. You are here today for a reason. You have a purpose. Everything that you have been through up to this point is not in vain. You are exactly where you are supposed to be on your journey. You were created in his perfect image. There is nothing wrong with you. You are more powerful than you believe.
I am so thankful for the mindset that I have today. Trust me I wasn’t always this way. I’m prone to worry and over-analyzing everything. Even though I know that worrying doesn’t change the situation. Over-analyzing just leads to stagnation and feeling stuck. The only thing either of those adds to my life is more stress and aging. I don’t know about you but I don’t need any stress. I’m making moves. I need to be aging gracefully not forcefully.
I share this with you because someone needs to read this message today. Every day as obstacles come our way, we always have a choice. We get to choose what we make of it, what we believe and how we move forward. What are you choosing today?
The great thing about this digital age is there are soooooooo many resources available at our fingertips. It’s not necessary to struggle alone or stay stuck; not knowing what to do. Ask and it shall be given. Seek and ye shall find.
