The most powerful part of you is your VOICE. Use it liberally!

Why? Our voice always matters! Our contribution is necessary. The value that we bring is vital.

As women in STEM, there are many dynamics that may affect how we show up in the workplace. Many of us work mostly with men. This dynamic leaves some women questioning if it’s better to try and fit in to be accepted. Others may feel isolated and alone in what they are experiencing. While many women deal with being dismissed and not being taken seriously in their roles.

As a result, even when we LOVE what we do, these dynamics make it challenging and over time less enjoyable.

Guess what? There’s hope!

I’ve worked in the Information Technology field for over 20 years. I’ve had my share of challenges. From feeling like I wasn’t smart enough, I wasn’t articulate enough and I wasn’t really that talented. Even with the evidence of everything that said otherwise.

These beliefs held me back from thriving in a way that I knew I was capable. They robbed me of the excitement that I’ve always had for working with technology. These beliefs left me feeling inadequate and unworthy.

Yet, I discovered that I had more control than I thought. I had a choice in how I was choosing to BE every day. That choice was the answer to my challenges.

I chose to find my voice, to own my value, to recognize my strengths and to create new empowering beliefs to support my continued success. I gained a renewed sense of enthusiasm and excitement for my work. In addition, I found greater meaning and purpose.

Today, I help other women in STEM Level Up in their careers. We work on the strategic elements and the vision for your career. We create a plan to help you achieve your desired goals. Most importantly we work on helping you up level your mindset and confidence so that you can truly excel in your STEM career.

We spend years earning degrees, certifications and gaining experience. Yet, we spend less time cultivating the intrinsic things that will help us have true success. These intrinsic aspects allow us to be seen, to be heard and to bring our full selves into our roles. Then we are able to truly thrive in our STEM careers.
