Getting HELP is necessary in your business!

Me too and I get it!!!
I’m definitely an, “I can figure it out” kind of person.
However, when the knowledge that I need to have exceeds the knowledge that I currently have or the time it would take for me to acquire such knowledge…I’ll happily get help!
Case and point…the time I tried to replace my bathtub spout. Seemed simple enough. Watch a few YT videos, go to the hardware store and buy a new fixture. Easy!
Until the fixture doesn’t fit flush against the wall like the one I removed. That’s when I learned the actual pipe length AND diameter is important. Then it was the actual inside cartridge that was different and didn’t fit… after a few returns and back and forth. Enough was enough… I conceded…I’m not a plumber!
Those darn videos always miss something important. Like what’s the name of that special tool because I’m sure that I don’t have that one!
When it comes to Tech in our business we start off with advice from other coaches and our peers, buying the recommended software applications that they’re using and all of the “popular” tools. <— Some of which we end up not using or the software can do A LOT more than we’re using it for. We get everything in place so we’re able to accept clients and accept money.
In the beginning, we’re small enough to do manual tasks like onboarding, sending contracts, replying to inquiries, etc. Then we start to grow and we’re also doing the 101 other necessary tasks as a one-man shop…bookkeeping, marketing, creating content, creating new offers, etc. On top of seeing clients!
Then we reach a point of overwhelm and frustration. Often because we haven’t strategically evaluated our processes and systems. We’re stretched too thin and ultimately something does not get the time and attention that it requires.
When this happens to be our Tech systems it could mean that no matter how much we want to grow…our systems and processes do not support such growth.
AKA…we’re not making money!
AKA…we’re still doing manual tasks!
AKA…we’re spending A LOT of time figuring Tech out to make it work!
As with anything, we must be strategic with our Tech systems. We should always be thinking about our vision and growth and asking:
*How will my systems continue to support my business?
*What processes need to be updated?
*How can I use Tech to streamline and optimize my business?
Then we must be willing to delegate and get help no matter how smart we are or how much we think we can do it all ourselves.
“Ask for help. Not because you are weak. But because you want to remain strong.” – Les Brown
We don’t have to do it all alone and it’s never a sign of weakness.
Also, Tech is designed to work for you and your business. If it’s not doing that…it’s impossible to have a successful business.
