At times we let our emotions control us. It’s quite difficult not to sometimes. It seems like when it rains it pours. Everything is coming after us all at once. Bills due, children acting up, friends are not there, just tired…it is in these times when we are weak and vulnerable that the enemy tries to control our minds. All types of negative thoughts begin to surface.
Why me? What did I do to deserve this? My life sucks right now. Does it get any worse? Why do bad things continue to happen to me? But, it’s in these times that our FAITH becomes paramount. Do we have faith that God is in control? Do we have faith beyond what’s happening in front of us…beyond what we can see? Do we have faith that everything that has happened this far in our life has led us to exactly where we are right now…where we are supposed to be? It’s not by chance and it’s not by accident. It’s in these times we must speak the word over our life and our circumstances. I walk by faith, not by sight.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I know that all things work together for good to them that love God, who are called according to his purpose. Declare it! Speak it! Repeat it! Over and over until you feel the power of these words within your heart. Know that God is with you always and will not fail you. Do not be dismayed. Praise him through it all and keep an attitude of joy and thanksgiving. It is through faith that we have peace and joy. So don’t give the enemy any ground to rob you of your joy.
