Are you still SLEEPING? The time is HERE and it’s time to WAKE UP!
We have to move beyond the fear and uncertainty to discover the opportunity that exists.
The world is grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic. This is new territory that comes with very real and new challenges.
Everything from being stuck in the house, stressed about finances, worried about employment and being concerned about others. All while trying to stay safe, healthy and maintain a sense of peace and sanity.
Everyone is trying to manage the best way that they know how.
Some are using the extra time busy. Binge watching Netflix, snacking and scrolling through social media. No judgement. I know all about snack attacks.
A lot of people are spending more time with family members and checking in with loved ones.
Others have taken the extra time to get focused and be more productive. Working towards goals, organizing, cleaning, reading and increasing self-care.
Many just don’t know what to do. They’re in a daze wondering if this is all a bad dream. Overwhelmed by it all and consumed with worry and fear. Which is completely understandable given the circumstances.
Regardless of where you fall, know that it’s okay. Give yourself some grace and compassion. We’ve never been in this situation. Try not to beat yourself up for feeling sad, anxious, lonely, confused and emotional.
However, make a decision TODAY on what you will choose to FOCUS on each day. Your thoughts guide your emotions which determines your actions.
► Avoid negative thoughts that will wreak havoc on your emotions.
► Get clear about the opportunity that exists for you.
► Make some decisions on how this will look.
► Set some parameters for what will be your focus.
How will you maximize your time?
What will you do to keep a positive mindset?
How will you keep your faith strong?
What will you do to spark fun, enjoyment and creativity?
How can you love on yourself more?
In spite of what’s in front of us, we still have breathe in our body. We are still alive and we are still here. That has so much meaning and significance. We can count our blessings because we still have so much to be grateful for.
