It’s human to want people to stay in our lives forever. Even those who prove to be no good for our growth. This includes family, friends, and lovers. In life, there are times when removing these connections is very necessary. Some relationships are simply…seasonal. Not all relationships can grow with us. Some do more harm than good.

Self-love may mean that they cannot continue to be in your life. Self-love may mean that you can love them from a distance. Self-love may mean that they have to go. Self-love means I love myself enough to let you go.

Letting go or loosening the hold doesn’t mean that you’re giving up on the relationship, that you’re losing something or that you’re missing out. It simply means that you are growing, maturing and evolving.
While doing this you’ve decided to set healthy boundaries so that you can grow fully into the person that you are destined to be.
